Landing at Tunis-Carthage with a hotel in Hammamet, Sousse or central Tunis? Here is how the arrival works, how long each drive takes, and how to book a fixed-price transfer before you even leave home.

Three airports for the north and centre of the country

  • Tunis-Carthage (TUN), on the edge of the capital: the natural gateway to Tunis, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and Cap Bon.
  • Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE), between Hammamet and Sousse: handy for the Sahel coast.
  • Monastir Habib Bourguiba (MIR), right next to Monastir and less than an hour from Mahdia.

How long is the drive?

From Tunis-Carthage, allow about twenty minutes to central Tunis, twenty-five minutes to Sidi Bou Said and around an hour to Hammamet, 65 km away. For Sousse, Enfidha-Hammamet is the closest airport: roughly a 45-minute drive.

How the pick-up works

Your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall, just past customs, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight: if it's late, the pick-up time adapts, and the first 60 minutes of waiting after landing are free. Baby and child seats are free on request: just tell us the children's ages when you book.

Taxi or pre-booked transfer?

Taxis wait outside the terminal, but the fare is often negotiated on the spot, after a long flight, with luggage and sometimes children in tow. A transfer booked in advance gives you a fixed price per vehicle, fuel, tolls and parking included, and a driver who already knows where you're going.

Our tips for a smooth arrival

  • Add your flight number when you book: it's how we follow your landing.
  • The Tunisian dinar is only available locally: change a little money at the airport for your first purchases.
  • Travelling as a group with lots of luggage? Pick a van: the price is per vehicle, not per person.
  • Two ways to pay: cash to the driver on the day, or by bank transfer in advance, with a discount.

And the way back?

Remember your return transfer too: choose "return" when you book, with the date and time of your flight. Your driver picks you up at the hotel with a comfortable margin before check-in.
